Exwick Heights Primary School is seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspiring and highly motivated Early Years Lead to join our Senior Leadership Team and lead our thriving Early Years provision.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional practitioner and leader to shape and grow our Early Years provision at a pivotal time.
You will:
- Lead and further develop our Early Years (Nursery, Preschool and Reception) provision
- Be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to whole-school improvement
- Teach in a Reception class for two days per week, demonstrating outstanding classroom practice
- Lead early reading across Early Years and Year 1, ensuring strong foundations for lifelong learning
- Drive high standards and high expectations for all children and staff
Our Early Years setting is a real strength of the school, housed in a beautiful, purpose-built building that is light, airy and spacious, with excellent access to outdoor learning. We have recently:
- Adapted and furnished our Preschool and Nursery provision
- Expanded to include 2 year olds (opened January)
- Begun an exciting phase of growth to better serve our community
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking someone who:
- Is a passionate and skilled Early Years leader with a clear vision for excellence
- Is an excellent classroom teacher, able to model best practice in Reception
- Has strong knowledge of early reading and phonics (experience with Little Wandle is desirable but training can be provided)
- Demonstrates high expectations for achievement, behaviour and inclusion
- Is committed to developing others and building a strong, collaborative team
- Shares our values of kindness, curiosity and determination
