Pastoral Support Practitioner
SCP A5, £25,583 per annum, pro-rated
Contract Term: Full time, term time only (39 weeks)

Our students arrive with ambition, but for some, their success depends on the strength of the guidance and care they receive. They need a trusted adult who will listen, respond, and act, ensuring that every concern is addressed and every barrier to learning is reduced.
You will not simply respond to issues as they arise; you will:
• Act as a first point of contact for student concerns, providing reassurance, guidance, and direction
• Deliver targeted 1:1 support, helping students build confidence, resilience, and independence
• Work proactively with the Pastoral Behaviour Support team to maintain high expectations for behaviour and engagement
• Support students in moments of difficulty, ensuring they remain connected to learning and the wider UTC community
• Champion the progress, wellbeing, and achievement of vulnerable learners, including looked after and previously looked after children
