https://www.sgscol.ac.uk/ We have an exciting role of Deputy Head of Digital Education within our Digital Education team!Join our forward-thinking and sector-leading Digital Education team at SGS College as our Deputy Head of Digital Education.
Working closely with the Head of Digital Education, you will play a key role in delivering Digital Education priorities across the College. This includes staff development, teacher education, digital onboarding, communities of practice and the adoption of digital technologies that enhance teaching, learning and assessment.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities - Designing, delivering and evaluating Digital Education training, onboarding and mentoring activities for staff.
- Coordinating Digital Champion networks, communities of practice and designated super-user groups to promote effective digital practice.
- Delivering Digital Education contributions to teacher education programmes and other professional development activities.
- Supporting the safe, effective and ethical adoption of AI, immersive technologies and other emerging educational technologies.
- Providing specialist advice and guidance on digital teaching, learning, assessment and educational technology.
- Coordinating the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of Digital Education activities, engagement and impact.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications - Degree level qualification or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline.
- Teaching qualification, training qualification, or relevant professional development qualification.
- Experience of supporting teaching, learning and assessment through digital technologies.
- Experience of designing and delivering training, workshops or professional development activities.
- Knowledge of educational technologies, AI and emerging technologies and their application within education.
- Strong communication, facilitation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to support colleagues in adopting new technologies and practices.
