We are seeking a skilled Key Stage 1 teacher and middle leader to guide our KS1 department during a period of maternity cover. At Edith Moorhouse, we combine high expectations with genuine joy, creating a calm, structured environment where young learners build confidence and resilience. As Department Lead, you will provide relational consistency, support your team with collaborative planning, and maintain the momentum of our early primary curriculum.

What You'll Bring- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong, proven experience in Key Stage 1.
- A clear understanding of early reading, phonics, and building independence in young learners.
- An approachable, relational leadership style that builds trust quickly with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
- Experience in leading or coordinating a subject, key stage, or initiative with high standards and gentle consistency.
- A commitment to evidence-informed teaching practices and positive behavior support.
