Working Hours: 37 hours per weekWe have a vacancy for 2 Team Leaders within the Sixth Form. The role attracts 5 hours remission.
Key Tasks and ResponsibilitiesMonitor Year 1 and Year 2 learner progress, attendance and engagement, using evidence to identify risk early, celebrate success and agree timely support linked to Achievement, Community and Enjoyment.
Drive high grades, value added and positive progression by setting ambitious expectations, monitoring performance data and supporting learners to achieve their full potential, linked to Achievement and Readiness.
Support and monitor teaching effectiveness through quality assurance activity, coaching and professional dialogue, helping staff strengthen adaptive teaching, assessment, feedback and learner experience, linked to Achievement and Enjoyment.
Coordinate UCAS references and progression support for allocated students, ensuring learners are well prepared, confident and informed about their next steps, linked to Readiness and Achievement.
Monitor subject attendance and engagement, working with tutors, teachers and support teams to remove barriers, improve participation and strengthen learners' sense of belonging, linked to Community, Achievement and Enjoyment.
Be part of the wider leadership team of the Sixth Form supporting with achieving the wider goals of the Sixth Form including line management, inducting and supporting staff members, achieving and delivering the Sixth Form improvement plan.
Quality assure NEAs, BTECs and assessment processes to ensure consistency, high standards, timely feedback and secure learner outcomes, linked to Achievement and Readiness.
Line manages up to five direct reports, supporting clear expectations, reflective practice, professional development and a positive team culture that contributes to the delivery of Get Future Ready, linked to Community, Achievement, Readiness and Enjoyment.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications- Internal Quality Assurance experience and/or qualifications
- Experienced A Level Teacher
- To be proactive in driving standards and quality within a team
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Digital Innovator
